Hey Guys, another OOTD from my holiday. Who said black isn't a colour for the sun? I decided to go for a change from the nude look a few nights, sticking with the trusty little black dresses. My first dress is personally one of my favourite dresses I own, its a midi length that is crochet/net design that has a black bodycon underlining slip. The dress looks classic however very individualistic being mainly netting. The second dress is a floaty layered black dress that I got from a local boutique, its very simplistic however has detailing on the straps; crossing over the back with gold chain. Each dress I teamed up with a bright orange Kurt Geiger ipad case- which I use as a clutch bag, adding some colour to the darkness.

SUMMER LOOKS

Friday, 6 June 2014

As I said my next few posts are mainly OOTD based. My outfits above are some smart looks I put together for on an evening. Right now I love the nude and pastel colour styles, as they are great for summer and can be teamed up with bright colours to add statement to an outfit. My first outfit I wore in the day as well, I like the flare pants trend at the moment and teamed them up with a pastel floaty jacket and a white scuba crop top (unfortunately I couldn't reveal this as my belly was badly burnt.) My second outfit is again based on the nude colour theme, with some smart loose shorts that have a white stripe around the edging and a blouse which has a tie buckle around the waist creating a more structured look. I teamed it up with some brown sandals, a loose longline blazer and again my statement necklace.

TRAVEL IDEA

Hey guys, sorry I haven't done much in the past week, i've been away in Portugal. My next few posts will really be my OOTD whilst away. However, this outfit I wanted to share with you as its what I wore whilst travelling, if you're like me this is the worst part of picking clothes for a holiday.
I decided to go for something casual and easy to wear, as you are only stuck on a plane, however cool enough for the weather the other end. I went for a nude theme as this is on trend at the moment, adding some colour with a statement necklace. My whole outfit looked classic and comfortable and is easy to wear for any long journey, hope you like it.

WHITE JEANS

Monday, 2 June 2014

Hi Guys,
It seems of late that I have sort of neglected the blog due to some ongoing private issues. However these issues now on the up and I will be posting more frequently. I am currently staying in Somerset where my dad lives and the beautiful gardens give me the perfect backdrop for some wonderful photos. My outfit today is a sort of DIY outfit; most recently the trend of white jeans has seemed to come back into the limelight. Personally I am not very fond of the basic white jean and decided to rip and wash mine for a more edgy effect. The jeans were purchased from Primark at $10.00 (with no rips) but when I got home I decided that they were too boring and needed some kind of effect. I simply got a pair of scissors and started to cut various areas of the leg. I cut some of the lines very close together to create a frayed look, and then put the jeans on a high wash to fray the cuts even more. Ripped white jeans are being sold in most high street stores at the price of 40.00 and upwards however these Primark 10.00 jeans are good quality and serve the same effect/look. The top I have on is from Topshop which I thought was a perfect combination with the bold white, simple accessories also worked the trick as I didn’t want to overpower the look.
I hope that you guys liked this outfit!
Best wishes Sarah X

LONDON STYLE DIARY

Tuesday, 27 May 2014

This past bank holiday weekend has by far been one of the best weekends this year. I headed on another trip to London to see the Arctic Monkeys which was amazing! On the Sunday I decided to head on a venture and visit all the typical tourist places. The weather was divine so the new sunglasses were out. The striped dress that I wore was recently purchased from Zara and was perfect for a daytime look that was not too overdressed or underdressed. I was a tad apprehensive of what to wear because of the unpredictable British weather, but what I did decide to wear was perfect! Big on the spring 2013 catwalks filtering into 2014 trends, stripes seem to be everywhere at the minute on the high street. The simple trend can be adapted easily and accessorised to be made to look great! Hope you enjoy my most recent blog post; hope you all have had a great weekend.

Outfit details: Dress – Zara at £29.99, Boots – Topshop £78.00 now £55.00, Bag – H&M, Sunglasses – PRADA, Necklace – Topshop.

CORDS

Thursday, 22 May 2014

Our love at the moment is definitely cords. Co-Ordinates can be seen everywhere, especially on the blogosphere, the coordinated pieces look effortless and are great for summer (especially the shorts and bralets.) These cords are all from Missguided, who in our personal opinion; along with Asos, offer the most stylish and wearable co-ordinates. Cords can be found in suits and in shorts/skirts with tops, in a variety of prints and pastel colours and can be worn casual with Birkenstocks in the summer days or paired with heels and a clutch for the night time.

LONDON HAUL

Tuesday, 20 May 2014

As we said yesterday we spent the day in London, in the desperate search for some new summer clothes. My wardrobe is mainly black, so in search of summer I decided to find some lighter coloured, loose fabric clothing.
Firstly I got 3 items from H&M, which in my personal opinion have got an amazing summer collection this year, taking current and predicted trends.
Above are my items from H&M. I have been looking for a peplum style skirt for summer as Zara have had some gorgeous ones, however to my surprise H&M had just a good a quality and the fit was perfect. It is all white with some panelling on the sides. I then matched a floral vest top with some detailing on the collar and finally just what I have been looking for: a nude sleeveless long line blazer!
Skirt- £14.99, Top- £24.99, Blazer- £24.99
Finally of course I had to make some Zara purchases. I love the loose nude fabric of the top and shorts, with the detailing of the buckle wrap on the side of the shirt, matching it with i brightly coloured beaded necklace.
Shorts - £25.99, Shirt- £29.99, Necklace- £19.99
